That begins with proper candle care and maintenance. NEVER EXTINGUISH CANDLE WITH WATER!
Burning your candle:
Your first burn is the most important burn. Don’t burn your candle until you have enough time to let it burn for a while. (1-2 hours)
Allow the candle to burn for at least an hour. This will allow the candle time to get an even burn, and prevent “dips” or “tunnels” which will remain for the duration of the candles life. Candles may come with 1-4 wicks. Candles with two wicks should burn at least two hour minimum.
Trimming your wick:
Wicks should be trimmed to one fourth. of an inch (1/4th") AT ALL TIMES. Untrimmed wicks will cause "mushrooming" and create a large and unstable flame. Wicks that have curled or broken off into the candle act as secondary wicks and cause a huge flame.
Candles should be extinguished after four hours and completely cool before burning again. If not, the candle can get too hot and grab large flame, which could become dangerous. Never move a burning candle. It is best to use a candle snuffer to smother a huge flame. It’s encouraged to keep burning candles in your line of sight.
Safety Tip!
Always burn candles well away from drafts, other heat sources, and anything flammable. Make sure burning candles are out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always burn on even leveled heat resistant surface.
Be sure to store your candles in a cool, dry place. Especially in warmer months.
